Recommendations for a Good Resource for FRT/RR Strap Checkering

    Hello,
Stopped by Williams yesterday to have my CZ 75 front and rear strap checkered, they told me that they no longer do it, seems that with most purchases are the polymers and not much demand for checkering anymore. Does anyone know of a quality gunsmith that still does checkering?

Doug Jones... http://www.acc-u-rail.com/ has done checkering on a 1911 for me, did a nice job, IMO..& reasonable price.
Pretty sure he can do what you want.

I have the same gun but stainless and was told the metal is too hard to checker by a local smith.

Run away, don’t walk. Find a different smith.
