letting C&R expire vs. returning renewal form 8 to say no

My 03 expires shortly. I decided to not renew - do I have to return the renewal form (which I unfortunately filled for renewal previously) or can I just let the license expire. My google is weak today as I can't seem to find a fresh Form 8 to print and use

Yes, I understand bound book records on 03's don't need to be turned in per ATF.

I seem to read guys online do this both ways with letting it just lapse vs. reporting it. Since mine expires 5/1 I'm not sure whats most appropriate. I'll also be moving but with an uncertain date - that's half the reason I decided to not mess around renewal mid move.

I did send the form back indicating that I wasn't renewing. There should be a checkbox around the middle of the form indicating so. You do not have to send in your log book when you decide not to renew.
