AR Gunsmith Recommendations in SE Michigan?

    Hello,

I'm finally getting around to giving my AR the attention it deserves. One thing I'd like to do is replace the A2 sight with a low profile gas block for a free floated m-lok handguard. It's not a super difficult thing to do I understand, but I'm pretty new to all of this and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a gunsmith in SE Michigan who could do this kind of work.

    Thanks in Advance!

Just cut the sight off with a a grinder, dremel or hack saw.

" Doug Jones Gunsmith in Rochester Hills. " He's my go-to guy for all my firearm needs & questions... has been for several years now..
(probably more like 10 +yrs) He's fixed / worked on pistols, rifles & shotguns for me..also had several friends take him work..fixed them all.
Haven't found anything Doug hasn't been able to repair... he even fabricates some stuff, if a parts not available.
I learned Doug was a machinist before becoming a gunsmith...hard to imagine a better associated field.

Buy a new upper and sell your current one. BCA upper is $250, then what ever you get for your current upper you could be at a wash. In my opinion to have a gunsmith do that work is just not worth it.
