Sig p938 two piece guide rod unscrewed itself

    Hi sig know it all.

I saw a vid about this after I looked it up, it's not uncommon. I just got mine a few months back, used.

Should I hit it with high temp locktite ? Then finger tighten it and call it a day.

Guy in the vid called sig they sent a new one, but I think that was a two piece as well 🤔

I've used a lot of the 2 piece units in 1911s too.

Yes I always lock-tited them... but just with blue. In many hundreds of thousands of rounds never had a problem.

I hand tightened mine and it didn't have an issue. When I send mine in for magazine release problems, the repair ticket said they replaced the guide rod with a new one. I haven't had an issue with it unscrewing since I got it back
