Carrying a rifle in a backpack

I just recently bought a Sub2000 for this reason. Folded it easily fits in a smaller back pack with plenty of room for a few 31 round Glock mags and some ammo.

Is there any reason that set up couldn't be carried in my car trunk???

Thoughts.????

No round in the chamber and no mag inserted it's legal as long as it's cased or inaccessible from interior of vehicle.
