    410 Semi-auto

I was looking at some balistic data and got thinking about the 410 shotgun. I haven't found anything like it with a little google activity... But wouldn't a Saiga style shot gun loaded with slugs be a damn fine "house gun"?

Each slug basically equates to 2 45ACP bullets, relatively low recoil, not too much over penetration, manageable by most family members... I'm not thinking even 50 yard shots... more like across the living room shots

So what do you folks think?????

Wife keeps a 410 mossberg 500 loaded with judge rounds for home defense, slugs are nice but judge rounds(made for the Taurus judge) are a small slug backed by 3 00 pellets. Not sure how well they cycle in a semi though

A shotgun, even a 410 is long and awkward for use in a house. If you had to go with a long gun, a pistol caliber carbine (Hi-Point?) would be a good option.
No man made law physically prevents one from doing anything they have a mind to.

id hardly equate a 110gr soft lead 40 cal slug to two 45 caliber bullets.

its a novel concept but so many better options out there. you would be better off with a number of different PCC or something like that shockwave in 20ga.
