    Serialized frames in Michogan

So my municipality just called me saying they can't register my two new pistol frames even though they are serialized from the maufactors. They will be checking with the state police. (Michigan)

Has anyone run into this problem before?

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. I mean you can, as long as you are licensed to do so, which I doubt many of us are.
So, if he did do that, I'm honestly not sure what his next move is other than to say, 'Just kidding, nevermind'.

Same here. If you buy a glock frame from me, I will not do an RI-60.
I'm not a fan of felonies.

I just re-read the OP and the muni is "checking with state police"

I think he will be OK as long as he takes what they say and just says "OK, thanks for the guidance" and then scrubs the registration idea all-together.

If he is lucky, he will hear nothing back, and hope they forgot about him.

At this point I plan on keeping the voice mail the muni employee left me forever.

I guess I just don't understand Michigan law.
(Which I guess would be pretty normal now a days)
