    non-fatal firearm for self defense?

I recently cam across an ad for a pepper ball (I think) firearm powered by a CO2 cartridge.

I have several grandkids who frequently stay at our house. the boys get into everything, so I keep my real guns locked in a safe in a locked room. not very convenient for self defense.

When I was a kid my fiend had a CO@ powered BB gun. but if I remember right if you left the cartridge in the gun to long it lost power. is this still true?

any thoughts on this non-lethal gun?

If you're worried about them finding a real gun, I'd also worry about them making your house smell like pepper spray. JJ has the best solution. Keep the gun on you and concealed.

Manufactures recommend NOT storing a Co2 gun with the cartridge installed since it is bad for the seals.

Yeah, evidently, they're allergic to Co2 or something...
