    Measuring Ruger SBH chambers

I would like to check my chamber dimensions and do not want to buy a set of pin gauges. I live and work near Metro Airport. I have one in .44 mag and another in .45lc. Any suggestions? Thanks

Push a wax plug through each and measure with a micrometer or calipers? I slugged my 44 magnum barrel with .440 round balls. Then measured the slugs. But the gun has a odd number of grooves. So a special measuring tool was needed. You could not measure across. My friend was a machinist and measured them for me. Do not remember how or what he used. Good Luck, MOOSE
