You are on the wrong side of the state - but South Kent Sportsman's club - Door, Mi (south of grand rapids) -- 500yd range, 200yd range, even in the shorter individual bays. It's a private club, you would have to join or find a member to take you in.

I do the majority of my shooting in the Huron National Forest. It’s a mix of state and federal land. It will take some scouting to find what you need, but with undulating terrain and no real population it’s fairly easy to find a suitable place. With the clear cutting they do every year you can find some long range spots, but it’s always changing year to year.

I almost always shoot in a sandy bowl on the south side. It’s big enough to get me 300-400 yards from the rim, or 180° of berm when within 50 yards. Big deep impression in the land with very tall berms and only one way in/ out by forestry trail. Very safe place to shoot. The big downside is that it’s been “discovered” within the last 5 years, and gets busy on holiday weekends with not only shooters but guys on dirt bikes doing hill climbs (we are courteous to each other and just take turns with activities) 90% of the time though, I’m alone. If I go deeper into the forest, especially by taking “4x4 required” trails, I’m absolutely alone.

Were in michigan can you shoot 50 bmg?

Anyplace you want just as long as you are willing to pay the consequences.
Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.
