I picked one up last year that was converted to .45 ACP decades ago. I guess that was pretty common. I paid $800 and was in a big better shape finish wise than your specimen there.
That looks to be the 38. It would probably be around 400 in that condition if it functions and fires.
38 SW is a pretty anemic round. It is quite expensive and hard to find as well. Last I saw it it was about a dollar a rd. I make my own for my weblys
