Hi All,
Been lurking around on Facebook groups for a while and have been aware of MGO but haven't gotten involved much, though I certainly would like to have before now.
Guns have been in my family my entire life, always enjoyed shooting them when I was growing up but we never did. My dad said it was "too expensive". Hasn't gotten any cheaper!
Back in 2015 I went shooting again having lived in Chicago area for 12 years and not being around firearms. Forgot how much fun it was and really dove in. Not having to rely on my parents to supply a firearm, ammo, transportation, etc I could shoot as much or as little as I wanted. Wife was really against it at first having grown up in Chicago area...but she discovered how much fun it was and really enjoys it now. Has a Sig P238 Purple Pearl. Had a Ruger LCPII .22LR cerakoted in the colors my then 8YO daughter wanted. Son isn't so keen on guns yet, but I'll expose him as he is comfortable.
Collection...I like pistols most, and NFA items.
Anyway, primary reason I finally joined the forums and will probably follow with a MGO membership was to get in touch with others and start liquidating my fathers collection. He passed away last month and our tastes in firearms didn't overlap much.
Looking forward to interacting with more like-minded people with shared interests!
