Former Special Forces Suggestions

I am looking for a new optic to put on my new AR and was wondering if there are any former special forces that might be able to chime in an provide some suggestions? My old AR has a Vortex AMG Gen 1 which I like, but always looking to see if I can find something better.

There are so many options and I do not want to purchase a $1,000 optic and have to try to sell. I want to cry once and buy once. It sucks I cannot try them out for a while before purchasing. Currently looking at an Eotech EXPS2 Green, Aimpoint Comp5, Trijicon MRO with mag or Acog or Alcan.

What's your intended use for the AR? Your intended used might be very different from what an operator might use. I've found varying opinions talking to former SEALs.

The situation dictates the equipment loadout/configurations. There is no all around best scope for ALL situations.

And if you're looking for a true MILSPEC'd commercial version actually used in combat - $1,000 won't pay for the cover charge at the door to enter that shop.

Trijicon and aimpoint are the best made, holosun is supposedly good enough or very good with newer features.

If you want to beat the *** out of it with no cares and you have the mentality to buy once trijicon is local American company, aimpoint is sweedish, in my opinion not having a dollar amount to work with those are the best.

Give a lil more info. aimpoint has products from very affordable, to big baller prices.

What are you looking to spend? what you have listed is good optics. Trijicon MRO patrol with 3x behind it would be something to look into as well.
