    S&W 29-5

Having a little trouble getting a solid value; any help would be appreciated.

    Blue steel, 6", 29-5, 44 Magnum.
Very good to excellent condition, 99% condition, factory rubber grips.

    Thanks!

did some quick online checking.. value starts about $1100, goes up to around $1700
strangely ( to me) if you've still got the box, it's worth more!

    Thank you, Sir.

I wish I had the box! Bought this used years ago (1994-ish) from Geno's Guns & Tools in Waterford.

My arthritis is getting bad enough that I'm thinking of re-homing it. :-/

I used to frequent Geno's too.. had some good deals on tools, initially.
Watched his firearm section grow, as time passed. Bought a few there, did some FFL transfers there too.
Moved & became "Wicked Trigger".. much nicer store, but haven't been there much, as my firearm acquisitions stage has passed & has
become my ( now) inventory reduction stage.

Was surprised to read the 29-5 were a limited production run.
I've got a couple 29-3 's and they aren't as valuable as the -5 generation.

My blue 29-3 6" is a favorite revolver, but I shoot loads closer to 44 Special velocity in it ..bought in new, back in the 80's.
Too bad I threw away so many new pistol boxes..back when they were cardboard.
Who knew they'd become so valuable ?

I would agree with the $1,200 number. Could sell fast on the Smith & Wesson forum.
