Ruger Security Six .357 front sight

I have a Ruger Security Six in .357 magnum 6" barrel. It's an older one made in 1979, it needs both sights replaced. The front sight blade seems to be impossible to find. I'm trying to restore the gun as close to original as possible. All I can find is this....

Looks like a lot of fitting, I have no problem drilling and pinning it, I just don't want to have to shape the entire thing. Anybody know where you can find one?

Try calling Ruger. I had a Ruger Standard .22 with a messed up magazine. A 1960's gun. A call to ruger and they sent me a used working magazine for free out of his parts bin. They have pretty darn good customer services.

    A GP100 fixed fits perfectly, just shorter than a speed/police/security 6.

I might have an old GP100 front sight in a parts bin....

I have tried all of the above. The several threads on Ruger forum say the GP100 front sight is the closest you can get but just a little shorter. When I first searched for that sight, orange insert/fiber optic, larger flared ones is all I saw. I just found this.....

It looks very close, I'll get it a try for $5.

Thanks RifleGuy but I'm on the other side of the state.

Williams Gun Sight is a OEM manufacturer for a lot of Ruger products. I don’t know if the sight you need is one of them, they have them in stock or if they offer aftermarket alternatives but it might be worth calling them.

With the GP100? Barely noticeable right?
