Interesting that based on current automatic expungement being 92 days, all penalties in this are 93 days. If ERPO's are needed to save lives, why does it only affect firearms, not vehicles, drugs, carbon monoxide, and sooo many other ways people hurt themselves and others?

This was my thinking. Why are they leaving them with a two-ton guided missile?

What is an "extreme risk" anyway? Just sounds like weasel words to me that can mean whatever they want.

Who are they protecting also? If it's someone from themselves then there are many other ways that one can end their own life without a firearm, and if they take away someone's firearms then they could possibly take that as a challenge to do so. Not to mention death by cop has been a thing for as long as there have been cops. "We had to shoot him to prevent him from hurting himself."

If they're protecting the public at large then why leave them walking around free anyway? What if they have access to guns or bomb making materials that the cops do not know about? You've just potentially angered and angry person and I doubt they're going to stop being angry even after the waiting period is up.

Also why is precrime a thing? I guess none of us should be surprised though since it's been 1984 for a very long time now.

Because none of the other one's you speak of are a threat to government power.
