    S & W New 9 MM carbine (A pistol)

S & W has rolled out a new PCC in 9 mm. it folds in the center (from what I can see on-line much like the KT 2000) and looks like it would fit in a back pack but does anyone know if it can fire folded... and is it a pistol/SBR/ rifle in MI??????

    What is this???

Can not fire when folded. Don't have to remove optics to fold, unlike my 2000. 23rd. mags are max right now.

No, it's a rifle. It can't be fired when folded and has a 16" barrel.Barrel.

This is meant for ARs but applies to all firearms.

    OAL is 36.25" unfolded.
    Folded length is 16.375".

You do the math - doesn't "sound" like an SBR.

    Can't find actual barrel length.

    Spec Sheet (16.5" barrel)

And Michigan measures the firearm with the stock folded.

I believe that is only true of the “shortest operational” length..

The Gun can’t be fired when folded as others have stated so it’s length when folded is irrelevant

Yes, if it can be fired in that configuration. This firearm cannot.
