What scope should I go with for my RPR in .308?

Am new to long-distance/scopes. This is my first long-distance firearm. I have access to an outdoor range that goes as far as about 1000 yards. I don't want to skimp out. Seems like the pricepoint for a good scope is around $800ish after some research.

Can you guys help me? TYSM

Vortex is great, Arken are a up and coming company with great value. Leupold have always done very well for me and I never hear bad things about them.

You can reach 1000 with a 3x9x40 scope but it’s much easier with something larger

    You can reach 1000 yds with a 22lr. https://youtu.be/kC9mnwP6L-0

Depends on whether you’re shooting at steel or a LR target with a 20” 10 ring or LR F class target with a 10” ten ring. I’d want more then 9X just to get a good look at the 18” black.

Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 3-15 or 5-25 can be had for that price, depending on which magnification range you want to work with, and would put you in good glass at a good price. FFP or SFP as you prefer. A few different reticle options, too.

For the price, it’s hard to match up with a crimson trace hardline pro..

I have one mounted on my mossberg mvp 308 and it does everything I want..

For a scope that cost less than 300 dollars I’m over the moon with it..
