....the Detroit River bite is on fire right now, from Belle Isle to Lake Erie. Try to avoid the weekends if possible, it's a zoo.

I'm relatively new to the area, not looking for honey holes, but do you have any recommendations on places to fish from shore?

Angel Park is on the Lake.

Anywhere you can get access along the river. There will probably be light, which attracts baitfish, which attracts walleye.
