This looks like it would apply only to the State or a local unit of government. Private or public held companies would not be affected.

Unfortunately this is a partisan bill introduced by 26 GOP reps - which is why it looks like a departure from the recent garbage coming from Lansing.
It will likely be held up in committee, or passed around and never make it to a second or third reading this session.
I agree. The likelihood of this bill becoming law is as close to zero as you could get.
