    PEA Rock 5.7

Anybody know where I can buy a heavier spring than the one that came with the gun?

Call PSA. They might have either an assembly or a spring (not necessarily for the Rock 5.7) that is the same profile but more stout.
If you figure out what the PSA spring weight is, let us know. I don't think it is published anywhere. An educated wild guess would be around 18#.
I haven't had a FsN for a while but, when I did - EA was making a ~20# (I think) HD replacement recoil spring for the stock FN 18#. Last I heard they had also started to do drop-in parts kits for the PSA 5.7 (probably through their custom shop).

Out of curiosity, why are you looking to change to a stiffer spring?

We (psa) do not offer different recoil springs for the Rock. There is no reason to go heavier, you will just end up with short stroking of the slide. If you're trying to tune for use with a can, Buffman (above) can help point you in the right direction. The weight of the can is a factor, along with ammo selection.

With a 9mm suppressor on it, and i did check with the suppressor manufacturer who indicated it was rated for 5.7, about every sis rounds it wopuldn't go into battery. Think the suppressor is too m8ch weight for the standard spring.

How much does the 9mm can weigh? Are you running an optic? If so, what optic ? Subsonic ammo, or supersonic ammo?

Buffman. Thank you in advance for your help and opinion. The sight is a Holosun EPS. Weighs 1.4 oz. The can is a CGS Mod Mod 9 SK weighs 7.5 oz. The ammo was Fiocchi 40 grain range ammo. Again thanks for your thoughts. Walt
