I used Downriver Guns. They had what I was looking for in stock and a Silencer Shop kiosk. The whole thing took like 5 days. Of course they're not the only ones in town with a kiosk - but you can shave off a few days if they already stock what you want.
I have used Orion Outdoors Company located at Bald Mountain Shooting range, they can order most any can you like and they also did my trust right on the spot. Turn around time was about 6 days for ATF approval and I have now bought 3 cans from them,
Used a dealer in Saginaw for my previous can purchases but they couldn't get what I wanted so my most recent can I went through Capitol Armory. It was pretty easy due to the fact that I had digital copies of my picture and prints already but it does take a little longer purchasing online. The approval was quick, one business day with my own trust, but the process is a little slower. Nice part is they ship it directly to your door.
I have decided to go with Uncoiled Firearms. They have suppressor knowledge, a good inventory of suppressors and everything there to file paperwork.
I’ve been to all mentioned shops and I’ve never seen a bigger inventory of suppressors than at Gerbrand Defense in Waterford. Not to mention they do $20 transfers.
If you buy local, you'll likely save on higher NFA transfer fees (I pay $100 per NFA item if I have it shipped to my LGS). Downside is that the LGS may have a smaller inventory and/or take longer to source the can.
If you you buy online, you'll have a much larger inventory to choose from and you may pay less. But, if your transfer fee eats up the savings, the only benefit would be inventory.
I try to buy what I can local, but I do have a dealer who specializes in B&T cans who gives me a significant enough discount that it's sometimes worth paying the $100 and the couple extra days for the Form 3 transfer.
Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. Ronald Reagan

I stopped at Jay’s in Clare Saturday. They had about 60-70 cans in the display case. I was impressed.
