functional Falling Block single shot shotgun dated 1888 Hopkins & Allen

can I get a value on this puppy? Stock is cracked but has been helped back together by some sort of rivet setup. Trigger works, lever action works, hammer falls and firing pin moves freely. The bore is pretty solid and not pitted just old and dirty. I know these are designed for low power BP loads. What could I expect to get for it?

I've seen several in the sold listings on GB. Just wanted an honest opinion here from a possible antique enthusiast.

$100 to the right person in the pictured condition...$150 to someone with a hole in their falling block collection - if the stock wasn't "fixed".

It is definitely pre-1899 though. That's when the switch from H&A MANFG Co to H&A ARMS Co roll marks happened (H&A Manufacturing went bankrupt in 1898).

Realistically, it's a short-chambered "ordnance steel" wall hanger.

it's dated 1888 right on the barrel. I guess I'll just toss it on gunbroker and see what it fetches...

That's the patent date I believe. Should be preceded by a "June 23 85" as well.
Pretty solid dating of 1888 though based on the earlier company name.

That is the only way to get the true value. Good luck!
