    10mm conversion

I've been reading about barrel/caliber swaps for 10mm mostly in Glocks and it got me wondering. I'm not a Glock person, I like the 1911s. Can you do a swap for 10mm in a 1911 or is the cartridge too long ? I've seen 1911s in .45, .40, .38 Super, 9mm, and .22 but not 10mm.

It's not too long, but I'd be worried about the increase in pressure.

you need a new slide and barrel on a 1911. the breach face on a .45 slide is too big for a 10mm. check out caspian or fusion for a slide and barrel, but you can buy a dan wesson or colt for 700-1000 bucks as opposed to buying a slide and barrel for 4-500.

Those would be out of my price ranges if I decided to pursue it.

Thier conversion kits are running $229 standard or $299 longslide. Much more economical. The CZ would be my second platform choice.
