    Scope Quality?

Barska Swat 6-24x60 IRAC10700Reticle: Mil-Dot IRIncludes 5/8" High Rings, Flip-Up Scope Caps and 5" Sunshade

I was wondering where would this rate as far as scopes go?
And where does Barska rank amongst scope manufacturers ?

Any input will be helpful thanks in advance!

    Complete garbage, waste of money.

    read sigline, twice.

What is the scope going on, intended target/range?

I would recommend going and reading some reviews on opticsplanet or a similar site.

I have a Barska Huntmaster 3-12x50 on my ruger 10/22 and I really like it ($50 scope) but Barska is pretty low end.

Look at it this way: For the very casual hunter you can get away with a cheap scope...if you are only going to fire 3 shots thru your .308 to get it sighted in and than 10 shots at a couple deer all season...a Barska might work.

If you are going to shoot a couple thousand rounds thru your .22...a Barska might work.

If you are firing anymore than that with a centerfire rifle? Get a real scope. A lower end Leupold or similar would be great.

Longevity depends on what rifle it's mounted on.

Some cheap glass works just fine on .223 caliber or other low recoiling center fire rifles.

I'd start with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 ($150) and go up from there.

X2....definitely look into the Bushnell elite series scopes. I have had a few, and have never had a problem. You can get some of their 3200 series for a reasonable price with good quality, or you can spend some more $$ and step up to the 4200's or 6500's....which are amazing scopes for the money.
