Looking for a place to shoot

I have only been shooting for about 6 months and drive from Kalamazoo to Allegan to use the "range" up there. Is anyone aware of any place closer than this to target shoot? I know that their is the SWGC, but it is my understanding that I would have to be a member, and I simply don't have the cash for that currently. I would like to in the future though.
If someone would let me target shoot on their property in the Kalamazoo area, that would be fantastic too. Willing to sign waiver and you can have any empty brass
    Thank you!

You can shoot on most state land (Game Area). Just be safe, and carry out what you carry in. You can read through the following articles for more details.

    I hope this info helps!

There is a free gun range in yaknee springs, but it is about an hour north of kalamazoo. it has two areas to shoot skeet/trap (you bring your own thrower and there is a 100 yard range. you have to bring all of your own gear (targets, benches, etc) but did i mention it free!

I'd be interested in knowing this too. I'm in Wayland and looking for a decent and cheap place for pistol and carbine practice. Sucks I'm right across the road from the police range.

Duh make friends with an officer.

I see what looks like a range from I-94 in Fort Custer, anyone know if it is for sure?
