i did for the first time today and was very impressed.

I carry a Colt Defender that has given me no problems to date.

I own a Colt Defender compact and previously owned one other and never had an issue once, ever.

Now, my Springfield Ultra Compact, initially it was not very reliable at all but I have had no problems the last couple times I've taken it out.

Not argumentative. Fact is, compact 1911 leave a lot to be desired as far as reliability goes.

Price is no indication of reliability.....or have you not shot an Xd?
