"I usually shoot my Glock 17 and I might start out strong, landing hits in a 2.5x2.5" post-it note at 7-10 yards but after awhile, shots start going low and left."

This tells me that you are developing a "flinch". Stop shooting while you are doing good, take a break, come back to it later. I also notice this if my time/rounds shot becomes too long. The low/left also indicates "flinch" or anticipating the shot.

Try using earplugs and muffs. Only load 3 rounds in the magazine will make you slow down your shooting tempo.

What ear pro? just kidding; Howard Leight Impact Sport muffs.

What's funny about my anticipation problem is I never had that issue with my harder recoiling Glock 21.

Thank you. I'm always looking for an excuse to take the 686

The American Rifleman just posted a good article on Julie Golob's pistol gripping techniques. Getting complete control over the pistol is the jist of her technique.

    snapcaps... Bonus with a laser.

When you hit the non round and watch the laser jumping all over the place, it gives you some immediate feedback and something to work on
